Melbourne is located in Australia’s south eastern region in the state of Victoria. Known as the garden city for its abundance of parks and gardens, Melbourne is rich with beauty and history in the modern setting of Australia’s second most populous city. Because if its appeal, the city has grown to become one of the country’s centres for commerce, industry and culture.

Situated on a strip one mile by one half is Melbourne’s central business district or CBD. On a Melbourne map it can be located within the area known as the Hoddle Grid.
